Serving the West Zone of Greater Metro Manila
Maynilad was formed in 1997 and signed a 25-year concession agreement with the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS) on February 21, 1997, effective August 1 of that year — making it the private concessionaire for the West Zone, as Manila Water took the East.
Its service area covers the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Malabon, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, and Valenzuela, most of the City of Manila, and portions of Quezon City and Makati. In 2007, a consortium led by Metro Pacific Investments Corporation and DMCI Holdings took over the company. The concession was extended in 2009, and a revised concession agreement executed on May 18, 2021 confirmed its continuation until July 31, 2037.
