Energizing Albay Since 1972
The Albay Electric Cooperative, Inc. (ALECO) was established in 1972 and is headquartered in Legazpi City. Before the cooperative era, Legazpi had been served by the Legazpi Electric Light and Development Association (LEALDA) from the 1950s until 1975.
Today, ALECO's footprint spans the whole province of Albay — three cities and fifteen municipalities organized into nine electrification districts — reaching into the heart of urban centers and the farthest corners of the province's rural landscape.
